About WFC
WFC was founded by Darrin J. Wash in 2004.
Growing up in Detroit, Michigan, he has always carried a passion for building, and had taken on sight building trade courses while in high school, furthering his passion, and developing a strong work ethic and respect for craftsmanship. Moving to Anna Maria Island in 1988, he immediately procured a position with a well-known local construction company, providing him with real time experience in building trades, the privilege to work with some of the best craftsmen in the building trade community, and a vast knowledge of all phases of work.
In 2004, after 17 years, Darrin had decided to leave his long standing position with the local builder, and obtain his own General Contractor’s license in order to establish WFC. From the beginning, the company was built as a family operation, alongside his wife, Dawn Wash, who managed and performed all aspects of the administrative responsibilities of the business, creating the structure and support for the company’s day to day operations.
As the company grew, WFC became established on Anna Maria Island, completing a wide range of residential and commercial projects, including several custom built homes, custom built commercial buildings, additions to existing structures, and major remodeling of many existing buildings throughout the island.
As of today, WFC has completed thousands of projects, establishing a consistent presence in the local construction industry. In 2023, Darrin’s sons, Cory Wash and Austin Wash, joined the business, and work alongside him, learning the trade and operations of the company, bringing on the next generation to continue the quality work that WFC prides itself for.
WFC continues to operate as a family owned and run business, based on the same principles it was founded on so many years ago.

Darrin Wash
Founder | General Contractor
Darrin Wash founded WFC in 2004 after more than a decade of hands-on experience in the field. He oversees
all construction operations, bringing a practical, detail-oriented approach to every project. His experience
includes custom homes, major remodels, and large-scale commercial work across Anna Maria Island.
Dawn Wash
Operations
Dawn manages the operational side of the business, as well as the permitting of projects, including office administration, billing, payroll, and legal coordination. Her oversight ensures every project is supported by strong organization, clear documentation, and consistent internal systems.
Ibet
Ibet oversees the company’s accounting with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Her work ensures financial clarity and consistency across every project.
Angela
Client Relations
Angela manages client communication and relationships throughout the project process.
She helps ensure clients stay informed, supported, and connected from start to finish, and serves as a bridge between the office staff and the field work.
Cory Wash
Cory Wash works in the field leading the team, directing in all phases of construction and contributing to daily project execution.
